Waiting in CA...

I've been here in California for about a week and a half now...though it seems as if its been about 3 months. Its been a trying time to tell you the truth. But I am learning to rest in Christ and that is what I need to do most. I am desperate for change and He alone can change me. If you want to know how to pray, pray that I do learn how to do what I mentioned above. And pray I learn how to surrender my doubts and struggles to the Lord. But anyways, we leave on Saturday morning at about 6 am (9 am Eastern time).

The last week...

You would think that if one was embarking on a year long journey (ok, 11 months really) he would begin packing more than 2 days before he left. Nope. In fact I still have to buy some clothes to pack!

I've spent the last week hanging out with my close friends and family enjoying the precious time I have left with them. Saturday I went to High Falls with Amy, Amber and Erin and to the Braves game with Amy and Amber...though we weren't able to actually get tickets. Sunday I hung out with my Dad and Mom, in between church. Monday I hung out with my Dad. Tuesday I drove up to Athens (the city in Georgia) to spend some time with my cousin Matthew and his wife Cacey, and their new son Elijah. It was a great trip! Cacey, was very kind, making Matthew and I her famous Nachos, hamburgers and hotdogs, and cookies :-) Wednesday we watched Pirates of the Caribean I, and just hung out pretty much, and then I went home. Today I got my new digital camera that my dad bought me (thanks!) and then I came down to Americus and hung out with Jeremy, Amber, Micah, Heather, Erin, Amy and Laura at all different parts throughout the night. Well, I trust this will be more interesting as time goes on and after I figure out how to use my camera, there will be pictures!
